Terms of service

By signing up for Bohni you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English on purpose. A short Roman Urdu summary is at the bottom.

1. The service

Bohni is a software service that helps you track customer receivables, cheques, and collection promises. It is nota payment processor, a lender, an accountant, or a tax service. We don't move money on your behalf and we don't verify your customers' identities.

2. Your account

• One business per phone number on the free tier. Multiple businesses are allowed on paid plans.
• You're responsible for keeping your password safe. Share passwords with staff at your own risk; use the user roles (owner / cashier / agent) instead.
• You confirm you have permission from the people whose data you enter (e.g. your customers' phone numbers).

3. Pricing & trial

• Free tier is permanent: 5 customers, owner-only, all features.
• 14-day trial of the paid tier starts on signup. No card required. Trial converts to free, not to a charge.
• Paid tier is PKR 3,000 / year. Pre-paid, single charge. We'll send a renewal reminder before the next charge.
• Refunds: if you bought the paid plan and decide it isn't for you within 7 days, email hello@bohni.pk and we'll refund in full and downgrade you to free.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Bohni for harassment, intimidation, or threats against your customers.
• Upload illegal content, malware, or material that violates someone else's rights.
• Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Re-sell or sub-license the app without our written permission.

If we believe you're violating these rules we may suspend your account; we'll notify you first when reasonably possible.

5. Tap-to-action messaging

When you tap the WhatsApp / SMS / call / email icons in Bohni, your own device opens the relevant app. We don't send messages on your behalf. You're responsible for the content of any message you actually send, and for complying with applicable laws and platform terms (e.g. WhatsApp's terms of service).

6. Service availability

We target high availability but don't guarantee zero downtime. Planned maintenance will be flagged in-app where possible. Bohni is not designed for mission-critical real-time use (e.g. medical, life-safety) — please use a system designed for those.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, our liability for any claim arising out of your use of Bohni is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. lost revenue, lost contracts).

8. Your data

Your records remain yours. See our privacy policy for what we collect and how we protect it. You can export or delete your account at any time.

9. Cancellation

Cancel any time from Settings or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future charges; we don't pro-rate refunds for partial years.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Disputes will be resolved in courts of Karachi.
